Men and Women: We need to talk!
Not only CAN we but everything changes when we do.
If you’ve checked out X/Twitter recently and the conversation between the sexes, you’ll know it’s not a fun place. It’s a form of low-grade guerilla warfare, two camps trying to prove the virtue of their side.
There’s cleverness and true points galore. But there’s not much respect or affection for the other sex.
In this short video, Kayla Burch shows the goldmine growth opportunity here for men and women who want to do something different. (In my words) this is more than “another goddamn growth opportunity” but a genuine road to personal peace and a contribution to peace in the world. The family, and the love between women and men at the heart of social peace. They’re the underpinnings of social stability.
Respectful public conversation between the two sexes, as sexes, is raw-steak rare if it’s there at all. Most consciousness and personal development spaces stay away from it. Too dangerous. Too risky. We won’t even acknowledge that we’re staying away, just pretend that it doesn’t exist.
But as Kayla points out, the triggering that comes up between women and men is just what we need to grow as individuals and collectives.
Can we create containers for women and men intentionally, containers in which triggers can come up and be worked with?
Of course we can.
If we dare.
If we choose to.
Everything we’re afraid to talk about is what we’re going to talk about there.
I’ll not speak for the women here as I await a guest post. Men are holding a conversation among themselves that go beyond being wounded or broken. Because we’re not. We learn this from each other. Men can register HERE for an experiential exploration Sunday, 10:30 Eastern for first-timers. You can see some of what we do HERE or HERE.
The conscious conversation with women is coming too. We can hear the train already, out there in the wilderness and coming down the tracks.
