Well written. There's no doubt the pendulum has swung a long ways from when we were growing up. People's thoughts about how others should think and/or act based on gender or sexual orientation have always amazed me.

Women and men are in it together, along with all the other humans. Are you choosing to ignore all humans that don't fit into these traditional categories? What about intersex people? We are not a binary, like nature there are many variations from the norm.

I agree that we humans have built a huge amount of meaning on top of the categories of female and male. That does not mean it is helpful to continue with these meanings. I agree that we can do better, but it looks like we disagree on how.
